Parents,
In order to give you a constant fallback as to what to have the student practice when there is not a specific practice page assigned, I will suggest the following possibilities:
- Extra Practice Pages at the end of each Chapter, found in their Standards Practice Workbook. The workbook is always in class, but I'll ensure that these "extra practice" pages come home at the beginning of every new chapter. The few problems are keeping pace with the lessons, and never is intended as Homework to be completed at a specific due date. Purely for PRACTICE work. If students encounter areas they feel unsure about, it allows them to bring that specific lesson to my attention
- Any GoMath "Animated Math" which mirrors the day's lesson
- Any GoMath " Megamath" which mirrors the chapter's goal
- Any problem from the textbook which we did not cover in class. Electronic textbook is available via ePassport, find GoMath, so that the student do not have to carry the book back and forth every day. In class we create and discuss models, and understanding of a concept, and we only practice a few problems, not everyone on the page. If students need more practice, they will work any problem not done in class
- Smitopia.weebly.com is very useful to find lessons from youtube that mirrors again the content discussed in class.
- eCampus is new and the one Portal to all resources and links. Students know how to access our class for Math and Science under HEES-PRIMES MATH
- For Science there is Pearson Realize which may be accessed via ePassport. The students will also be notified when a video clip is assigned via Flocabulary.
